How do I begin a conversation for evolution?

I talked to Lori today and as a direct result of that conversation, this is the beginning of this blog. In part, I want to acknowledge her for being who she’s being and claim that this is her doing - without her I wouldn’t be doing this. And I know that to be a dangerous conversation. It is critical for me to take full responsibility for my choices. And that is what this blog is about.

It’s about taking on being responsible for what I’m creating in this world and the one aspect of my own creation where I’m completely clear that I have enormous power is in my conversations. The conversations that I’m talking about are those that have power with regard to who and how I am in the world and how the world occurs for me. Everybody ready to enter this conversation clearly understands that the conversation “the world is a dangerous and scary place” differs from “the world is a miraculous and exciting and challenging.”

We all have it in us to be complete cause in the matter of our conversation. And we all have some inkling that this power is absolutely critical to our continued success as a species. I’m completely convinced that we have it in us as a species to come together in cooperation to brilliantly manage our resources and the appropriate distribution of resources to serve us all as individual and as a species.

And I’m willing to suggest a vision in which we could actually alter the overall conversation of our planetary species and all of our diverse cultures to achieve a complete and profound state of peace among all humans and with our planet as a whole. And that we can see a complete end to violence among humans within one year. And I’m brash enough to suggest that year starts with this conversation.

And I’m crystal clear that there are others having this conversation who began before I did and I am so delighted that I am not alone. I will name and discuss some of those whom I know to be at the leading edge of this conversation in blogs to come. And, I am certain that we can’t just sit back and leave this one to those doing the leading. This one is for all of us to take on. This is where the conversational rubber hits the road. This is where this evolutionary process comes to life. We have seen cosmic evolution and biological evolution and cultural evolution. I won’t take on naming this evolution, but I do take on being responsible for my conversation for my own evolutionary process.

Love, Woody

  1. So now it's begun - the conversation for evolution. At least it is now begun here. It is happening in many homes, minds and countries so we will add our part. The part no one can bring to the conversation except me/you. I can own it. Great work. Love Lori
